Popular Australian Bec Rawlingshas her first Bellator date set.
The former Invicta and UFC competitor and Bare Knuckle FC champion signed with the company in June, and now she’s getting ready to make her debut.
MMA Junkie has learned Rawlings will fight Ilara Joanne in a flyweight bout at Bellator 231 on Oct. 25. It will be held on the main card of the event at Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Conn.
The 30-year old Rawlings (7-8 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) left the UFC in 2018 after losing four straight fights, the last three via unanimous decision.
Seeking a fresh start, Rawlings went to BKFC and won all three of her fights in the ring, winning the Police Gazette Bare-Knuckle crown and defending it twice.
But Rawlings never ruled out a return to MMA, and signed with Bellator after her BKFC contract expired.
Joanne (8-4 MMA, 0-0 BMMA), a Pitbull Brothers-affiliated competitor based out of Brazil, is making her Bellator debut. She brings a two-fight win streak into the bout.
Bellator 231 will be headlined by Frank Mir vs. Roy Nelson.
