Bellator 226 reactions: Winning and losing fighters on social media

Since the early days when the sport was anything but a mainstream endeavor, the MMA industry has thrived and survived through various websites, forums and, perhaps most importantly, social-media platforms.

Fighters interact with fans, each other and many more through the likes of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, which helps outsiders get a deeper look into the minds of the athletes.

Following Saturday’s Bellator 226 event in San Jose, Calif., several of the winning and losing fighters, along with their coaches, training partners or family members, took to social media to react to the event or share a message with supporters.

Check out some of those reactions.

Thank you to everyone for all the amazing support. I can feel the love from all of you. As far as me goes I’m good, I will be good and this will be another foot note in the big book that my career will continue to be. In life, and in any sport we face adversity, loss, heart break, but it is mine and my teams job to go back to the drawing board and simply improve. I feel young and sharp, I felt amazing until the guillotine happened, congrats to Daniel and his team and in a much deserved win. I live by the sword and I die by the sword. I’m healthy I took no damage and I will train very hard and will once again re-invent myself and continue in this crazy path god has put me on me on. I know there’s a lot of you hurting for me and don’t worry 😉 I’m good. There’s a lot of you enjoying this and to you I say the same thing, don’t worry 😉 I’m good. I chose a career paths under the shiniest of lights and I will never be sorry for living my dream, can’t win them all but I can learn from this and continue to grow, just the growing pains of pursuing a career under the spot light. I want to thank my coaches, family, friends, fans and sponsors @monsterenergy @cbdmd.usa @triumphunited @uscryo_pleasanton @iconmeals @virusintl @jeezyweezysneezy @magicalyoga and my amazing grandpa, he’s not with us anymore but I felt his amazing presence all week leading up to the fight. Gracias a toda mi gente peruana, seguiré en este camino y trataré de seguir representando y dejando la bandera de mi peru 🇵🇪 en alto, seguimos para adelante, seguimos en carrera, los amo a todos #arribaperu @csagym
