Drakkar Klose calls out Gregor Gillespie after UFC 241 win – sort of

Result: Drakkar Klose def. Christos Giagos via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Klose on the fight’s key moment

“I definitely felt a little rust in that first round. I was telling my coaches, when I first stepped in there, it didn’t feel normal. I warmed up, but it just didn’t feel like I was there at the beginning. It clicked in the second and third – I knew I had to start fighting.”

Klose on being desperate to get a win

“I hope a fight like that is enough to finally get me the big fights I’m after. I just need to stay a little more active. … It was an emotional rollercoaster getting here with my last fight falling out – I shed some tears for sure, just anger. It was tough. When I had him on my back in the third, I was thinking I should just keep him there for the rest of the round because I knew the time was getting close. When I know I have to win, I’ll do whatever it takes to get that victory.”

Klose on what he wants next

“Going into this fight, I said I wanted (Gregor) Gillespie afterward. But the way I was looking tonight, I might need a little more time. But if they call and give me that fight, I’ll do it. I’ll fight anyone.”
