Ketlen Vieira stepped up her game in her first UFC main event on Saturday with a win over former champion Miesha Tate.
Vieira (12-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC) used all 25 minutes in the UFC Fight Night 198 headliner at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas to work over Tate (19-8 MMA, 6-5 UFC) and get the unanimous decision nod on the scorecards, putting her back in the conversation amongst women’s bantamweight contenders.
After an unbeaten start to her career, Vieira has had slip-ups and setbacks both in and out of the octagon. She pulled it all together for this one, though, and added a signature win to her resume.
