Terrance McKinney’s second UFC fight on tap vs. Firas Ziam in November

"

After a impactful promotional debut, Terrance McKinney has his second UFC date and opponent booked.

At UFC Fight Night on Nov. 20, McKinney (11-3 MMA, 1-0 UFC) is expected to return to the cage to take on Firas Ziam (12-3 MMA, 2-1 UFC) in a lightweight bout. The event does not currently have a location or venue.

McKinney, 26, and Ziam, 24, confirmed the targeted booking on their personal social media accounts Tuesday after an initial report from MMA DNA.

McKinney sent shockwaves through the MMA world in his octagon debut qt UFC 263 in June when he knocked out Matt Frevola in seven seconds – one of the quickest finishes in UFC history. The win was his fourth consecutive first-round knockout. All four finishes in that stretch came in lightning-quick fashion, with the longest clocking in at 72 seconds.

En route to the UFC, McKinney overcame much adversity – from a loss on Dana White’s Contender Series to a serious, near fatal drug trip in which he almost severed off his own head.

France’s Ziam has won back-to-back fights after a loss to Don Madge in his promotional debut. All three of Ziam’s UFC fights have gone the distance with the two victories coming against Jamie Mullarkey and Luigi Vendramini.

The latest UFC Fight Night lineup now includes:

  • Joanne Calderwood vs. Alexa Grasso
  • Aori Qileng vs. Cody Durden
  • Cheyanne Buys vs. Loma Lookboonmee
  • Terrance McKinney vs. Fares Ziam
