September is here, and with it comes three big MMA title fights.
The UFC has a pair of them on one show toward the end of the month in Las Vegas, and ONE Championship’s potentially biggest star puts his belt on the line the day before that.
At ONE Championship: Revolution on Sept. 24, Christian Lee (15-3) defends his lightweight (170 pounds) title against Rae Yoon Ok (15-3), who got his shot thanks to an upset of former UFC and Bellator champion Eddie Alvarez in April. Lee, one-third of three siblings who fight for ONE, has a six-fight winning streak.
At UFC 266 on Sept. 25, Valentina Shevchenko (21-3 MMA, 10-2 UFC) puts her women’s flyweight title up against Lauren Murphy (15-4 MMA, 7-4 UFC) in the co-main event. And in the headliner, featherweight champ Alexander Volkanovski (22-1 MMA, 9-0 UFC) returns against challenger Brian Ortega (15-1 MMA, 7-1 UFC).

He has since gone back-and-forth with featherweight champion Topuria (15-0 MMA, 7-0 UFC), who could...
