UFC 264 ‘Fight Motion’: Watch Dustin Poirier’s trilogy triumph in super slow-motion

Dustin Poirier ended the third chapter of the Conor McGregor rivalry with his hand raised.

The former interim lightweight champion dominated the first round of the third meeting with McGregor (22-6 MMA, 10-4 UFC), earning scores of 10-8 on two of the official judges’ scorecards. However, the bout ended after the conclusion of the first round, as McGregor suffered a broken tibia and fibula in the closing moments of the opening frame, rendering him unable to continue, thus giving Poirier (28-6 MMA, 20-5 UFC) the win via TKO and the lead in the series with two wins over McGregor.

In the co-main event, Gilbert Burns (19-4 MMA, 12-4 UFC) stuck to an effective game plan to shut down the dangerous striking of fellow former welterweight title challenger Stephen Thompson (16-4-1 MMA, 11-4-1 UFC).

Dricus Du Plessis’ (16-2 MMA, 2-0 UFC) knockout of Trevin Giles (14-3 MMA, 5-3 UFC) made waves on the prelim portion of the card and Michel Pereira (26-11 MMA, 4-2 UFC) and Niko Price (14-5 MMA, 6-5 UFC) turned in one of the most memorable battles of the evening.

Revisit the highlights of these fights and more from UFC 264 in slow-motion in the “Fight Motion” video above.
