UFC adds Macy Chiasson vs. Sijara Eubanks to Sept. 5 event
Bantamweights are on tap for the UFC’s upcoming event on Sept. 5.
The promotion has added a fight between TUF alumni Macy Chiasson and Sijara Eubanks to the card, which will take place at a yet-to-be-announced location.
A person with knowledge of the situation confirmed the booking to MMA Junkie after an initial report from ESPN. The person asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.
In her most recent fight, Chiasson (6-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) rebounded from her first career loss to Lina Lansberg. At UFC on ESPN+ 25, Eubanks defeated Shanna Young by unanimous decision. In six professional victories, Chiasson has racked up four finishes.
Eubanks (5-4 MMA, 3-2 UFC) also punched her ticket back into the win column in her most recent outing. After losing back-to-back fights to Aspen Ladd and Bethe Correira, Eubanks defeated Sarah Moras on May 13. Eubanks, 35, also holds wins over Roxanne Modafferi and Lauren Murphy.
With the addition, the current Sept. 5 lineup includes:
- Alistair Overeem vs. Augusto Sakai
- Julia Avila vs. Nicco Montano
- Montana De La Rosa vs. Maryna Moroz
- Michel Pereira vs. Zelim Imadaev
- Mara Romero Borella vs. Mayra Silva
- Macy Chiasson vs. Sijara Eubanks
