Curtis Blaydes started 2022 with a bang.
The long-time UFC heavyweight contender kicked off the year with a big stoppage win. Blaydes (16-3 MMA, 11-3 UFC) scored an impressive TKO over Chris Daukaus after landing a flush left hand and then following up with ground-and-pound in the main event of UFC on ESPN 33 back in March.
The victory earned Blaydes a $50,000 bonus for Performance of the Night, his third career UFC Fight Night award. The TKO also put Blaydes on a two-fight wining streak and 6-1 in his past seven outings.
You can watch Blaydes’ finish in the video above.
Blaydes returns to the cage Saturday to take on fellow contender Tom Aspinall (12-2 MMA, 5-0 UFC) in the UFC Fight Night 208 main event at The 02 in London.
