It may have ended with some controversy, but Henry Cejudo did earn a win over T.J. Dillashaw, giving “The Messenger” victories over two all-time greats.
The UFC on ESPN+ 1 headliner was stopped after just 32 seconds, leaving a frustrated Dillashaw (16-4 MMA, 12-4 UFC) asking for a rematch, whether it be again at 125 pounds or perhaps moving up one division and putting his title on the line. Regardless, Cejudo (14-2 MMA, 8-2 UFC) now boasts win over both Dillashaw and Demetrious Johnson, who each can stake a claim to be the best of all-time in their respective weight classes.
With the result, Cejudo moves up to No. 7 in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA pound-for-pound rankings. Check out the new look of that list, as well as the other divisions impacted by this past weekend’s event.
