If you had any doubts about Charles Oliveira’s legitimacy as UFC lightweight champion, “Do Bronx” certainly answered them this past Saturday.
At UFC 269, Oliveira took care of Dustin Poirier with an impressive performance that led to a second-round submission win for his first title defense, officially signaling the beginning of the “Olive Era.”
It’s impossible to deny just how good Oliveira really is right now. What will the future hold? Is he set up for a long title reign? Could he even be the man to bring Khabib Nurmagomedov out of retirement?
