Video: Was the Demetrious Johnson-Rodtang Jitmuangnon ONE hybrid rules fight a sign of the future?
Things got crazy at ONE Championship X this past Saturday with a unique hybrid rules match.
Former UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson took on ONE flyweight muay Thai champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon. It wasn’t an MMA fight. It wasn’t a muay Thai fight. It was both. After the first muay Thai round, Johnson submitted Jitmuangnon in the second frame.
So what was the takeaway? Was it fine as a one-off, or do we want to see those kinds of fights more often?
