It seems as if Aaron Pico finally is hitting his stride.
The Bellator featherweight started his MMA career on a sour note with a 24-second submission loss in his pro debut before he rattled off four straight first-round knockout wins.
But in 2019, just when it seemed like he was ready to go to the next level on the heels of a knockout of Leandro Higo, he was knocked out by Henry Corrales. And six months later, he was knocked out by Adam Borics.
But for the past nearly two years, Pico has been rolling again. He’s got a career best five straight wins now, including the first decision win of his career this past Saturday when he topped Justin Gonzales at Bellator 271.
After that win, is Pico finally poised to break out to the next level in 2022 – and maybe even challenge for a Bellator title? Our “Spinning Back Clique” panel of Mike Bohn, Nolan King and Danny Segura dug into that question with host John Morgan.
