Dustin Poirier put himself back on the map as a lightweight contender on Saturday when he emerged victorious from a memorable bout with Dan Hooker in the UFC on ESPN 12 main event.
Poirier (26-6 MMA, 18-5 UFC) rebounded from his title unification fight loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov in September when he emerged on the upside of a unanimous deicsion over Hooker (20-9 MMA, 10-5 UFC) in the headliner at UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
