In a matchup that’s been brewing for years, Colby Covington and Tyron Woodley will finally settle their differences inside the octagon.
Covington (15-2 MMA, 9-2 UFC) faces Woodley (19-5-1 MMA, 9-4-1 UFC) in the UFC’s Sept. 19 main event, which takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
Covington is coming a fifth-round stoppage loss to welterweight champion Kamaru Usman last December at UFC 245. The former UFC interim welterweight champion gave Usman his toughest test to date and will look to return to title contention when he takes on longtime rival Woodley.
Former UFC welterweight champion Woodley is also looking to bounce back into form after suffering the first two-fight skid of his career. After losing his title to Usman in March 2019, Woodley suffered a unanimous decision loss to Gilbert Burns in May.
