MMA fighters react to Teofimo Lopez’s upset win over Vasiliy Lomachenko
Teofimo Lopez impressed many beyond the boxing world Saturday night.
The 23-year-old outpointed Vasiliy Lomachenko in a unanimous decision win that had him up on the judges’ scorecards 116-112, 119-109 and 117-111 in Las Vegas. Lopez, who already held the IBF title, picked up the WBA, WBO and WBC titles from Lomachenko to become the unified lightweight champion.
It was a big upset since many considered Lomachenko a pound-for-pound great. The result had many people talking not only in the boxing world, but also in MMA.
