Featherweights will collide Feb. 20 in Las Vegas.
Former M-1 Global featherweight champion Nate Landwehr and TUF alumnus Julian Erosa will square off at the UFC Fight Night event scheduled to take place at the UFC Apex.
Multiple people with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement. MMA DNA was first to report.
Landwehr (14-3 MMA, 1-1 UFC) has split his promotional outings to date. After he suffered a first-round knockout to Herbert Burns in his debut, Landwehr stormed back to defeat Darren Elkins in a bloody, one-sided unanimous decision in May.
Erosa (23-8 MMA, 2-4 UFC) is currently in the midst of a rare third UFC stint. In his second return to the promotion in June, Erosa scored one of the biggest betting upsets of 2020 in MMA when he submitted Sean Woodson in Round 2.
With the addition, the UFC Fight Night card for Feb. 20 includes:
The UFC handed out four bonuses after Saturday’s card, rewarding four main card stoppages. After UFC on ESPN 55, four fighters took home an extra $50,000 for their performances at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Check out the winners below.
