AUSTIN, Texas – Roman Dolidze was starting to hear the detractors, and he wanted to prove a point Saturday.
Dolidze (10-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) opened the card at UFC on ESPN 37 in Austin, Texas, with a brutal knockout of Kyle Daukaus (11-3 MMA, 2-3 UFC) in the first round. Not only did he pick up a $50,000 post-fight bonus award, but Dolidze did something else.
He made sure he could tell any doubter to “shut your mouth” after hearing that he didn’t have knockout power and was the kind of fighter would had to grind out wins after a couple decision victories.
For what Dolidze had to say about his knockout, as well as what comes next, check out the full interview in the video above.
