Dan Ige snapped his three-fight losing skid in highlight-reel fashion Saturday when he put Damon Jackson down in the UFC Fight Night 217 co-main event.
Ige (16-6 MMA, 8-5 UFC) got back on the winning track when a big left hand landed on the chin of Jackson (22-5-1 MMA, 5-3-1 UFC) that led to a walk-off finish at the 4:13 mark of Round 2 (via Twitter):

The featherweight bout was the UFC Fight Night 217 co-main event at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
It was clear Ige had a big power advantage from the start of the fight. He landed consistently through the first round, then opened a cut on Jackson’s head in the second round.
Finally, Ige lowered the boom and landed a huge shot that sent Jackson flinging back. Ige did not need to follow up and got his first victory since March 2021 after losses to Movsar Evloev, Josh Emmett and Chan Sung Jung.
“It feels really good, man,” Ige said in his post-fight interview with Paul Felder. “It’s been almost two years since I got a win. I’ve dedicated my life to this sport and my identity has been built around winning. I went through depression, anxiety (during my skid).”
