The UFC was back in action this past Saturday in Nebraska, and a flyweight made a big statement for a major climb.
On the UFC Fight Night 135 main card at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Neb., Deiveson Figueiredo (15-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) took out former title challenger John Moraga (19-7 MMA, 8-6 UFC) with a second-round TKO to stay unbeaten, including his first four in the UFC.
And that meant a big climb in the 125-pound rankings for the Brazilian, who was an honorable mention selection heading into the bout. Now he’s in the top 10.
