Bellator 206 weigh-in results: Mousasi, MacDonald official for superfight title bout

SAN JOSE, Calif. – MMAjunkie was on scene and reported live from today’s early and official Bellator 206 fighter weigh-ins, which kicked off at noon ET (9 a.m. PT).

Among those who weighed in were former middleweight champion Gegard Mousasi (44-6-2 MMA, 2-0 BMMA) and welterweight champ Rory MacDonald (20-4 MMA, 2-0 BMMA), who fight in the main event for Mousasi’s title. Both fighters hit the mark without issue.

Additionally, Quinton Jackson (37-13 MMA, 4-2 BMMA) came in almost 28 pounds heavier than Wanderlei Silva (35-13-1 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) in a heavyweight bout that marks their fourth fight. Plus, former champs Andrey Koreshkov (20-2 MMA, 11-2 BMMA) and Douglas Lima (29-7 MMA, 11-3 BMMA) were on target for their rubber match in the Bellator welterweight tournament’s opening round.

The early weigh-ins took place at the UFC host hotel in San Jose, Calif., and preceded the ceremonial weigh-ins for the fans, which take place at 8 p.m. ET at SAP Center in San Jose. The same venue hosts Saturday’s event, which has a main card that streams on DAZN following prelims on MMAjunkie.
