NEWARK, N.J. – Colby Covington had some surprise guests at UFC on ESPN 5 open workouts.
Ahead of Saturday’s key welterweight fight with Robbie Lawler (28-13 MMA, 13-5 UFC), former interim titleholder Covington (14-1 MMA, 9-1 UFC) was scheduled to participate in open workouts for fans and media. He decided against that, though, and expressed a dislike for the “energy” of the crowd.
The energy he did like, though, was from female three members of the crowd, who he decided to bring on stage and into his media scrum.
