Invicta FC 36 weigh-in results: Headliners Pam Sorensen, Kaitlin Young make weight

Invicta FC will crown a new featherweight champion on Friday night, a fact which was made official when both title-fight competitors made weight Thursday.

Pam Sorensenand Kaitlin Young both hit their marks for the main event of Invicta FC 36. Young (10-9-1) hit the 145-pound mark on the nose, will Sorensen (7-3) came in two-tenths of a pound under the limit.

The belt has sat vacant since Felicia Spencer, who beat Sorensen to fill a previous vacancy last November, left to join the UFC.

All in all, 14 of the 16 fighters made weight for their bouts, which means two missed: Janaisa Morandin, who came in at 119.6 for a scheduled strawweight co-feature match against Emily Ducote; and Chantel Coates, who was a half-pound over for her planned flyweight matchup against Caitlin Sammons. Both competitors were fined 25 percent of their respective purses.

Full weigh-in results for Invicta FC 36, which goes down at the Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kan. and streams live on UFC Fight Pass beginning at 8 p.m. ET:
