The Bellator 241 preliminary card has started to fill up.
Three fights have been added to the prelims, including a featherweight bout between Leslie Smith and Jessy Miele, a welterweight fight between Robson Gracie and Billy Goff, and a middleweight matchup between Romero Cotton and Justin Sumter.
A promotion official informed MMA Junkie of the bookings on Friday.
Bellator 241 takes place March 13 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. The main card is expected to stream on DAZN after prelims on MMA Junkie.
Smith (11-8-1 MMA, 1-1 BMMA) has split her two Bellator appearances since joining the promotion in 2019. She looks to rebound from an unanimous decision loss to Arlene Blencowe in November.
As for Miele (9-3 MMA, 1-0 BMMA), the Connecticut native gets another home game. In her Bellator debut in October, Miele upset Brazil’s Talita Nogueira by earning an unanimous decision nod.
Gracie (3-0 MMA, 3-0 BMMA) won three fights in 11 months to kick off his pro MMA career. All three victories have come by submission. His opponent Goff (2-2 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) will look to defend home turf and halt the Brazilian’s momentum.
A blue chip wrestling product from the University of Kansas, Cotton (4-0 MMA, 4-0 BMMA) takes a step up from competition when he faces a two-time Dana White’s Contender Series alumnus Sumter (7-3 MMA, 1-1 BMMA).
With the addition, the Bellator 241 lineup includes:
Michael Bisping thinks Michael Chandler would be making a grave mistake by underestimating Conor McGregor. Chandler (23-8 MMA, 2-3 UFC) welcomes McGregor (22-6 MMA, 10-4 UFC) back in a welterweight bout, which headlines UFC 303 June 29 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (pay-per-view, ESPN, ESPN+). McGregor hasn’t competed...
LAS VEGAS – Karine Silva has heard the praise. Even though the narratives are largely complementary, Silva (17-3 MMA, 3-0 UFC) admits her run toward UFC notoriety isn’t as quick and effortless as it may seem. “It wasn’t quick, guys. It wasn’t fast,” Silva told MMA Junkie and other...
