CFFC 100 video: Brandon Murphy kicks off milestone event with incredible first-round head kick knockout
Brandon Murphy set the tone early on Thursday evening.
At CFFC 100, Murphy wasted little time getting the job done in his professional debut against David Romano, who was also making his pro debut, in the first fight of the main card.
The milestone event for CFFC took place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa, Fla., and aired on UFC Fight Pass.
From the beginning of the fight, one would get the sense that this lightweight bout would not go the distance. Murphy threw every strike with bad intentions and ultimately found a home for a strike that would end the evening early.

Murphy landed a beautiful left head kick that sent Romano falling sideways to the canvas. Murphy rushed in to land follow-up punches, but the referee intervened just as a left hand landed, calling a stop to the contest just 56 seconds into the first round.
