Edson Barboza has a lot to be frustrated about recently.
Barboza (20-9 MMA, 14-9 UFC) suffered his second straight split decision loss when he was edged by Dan Ige in his featherweight debut last Saturday at UFC on ESPN 8.
In the wake of his controversial loss, Barboza has been removed from the lightweight rankings, prompting him to vent his frustration on Twitter.
Do you guys know who makes the @ufc ranking? I’m sure it’s not the specialists. They don’t listen to the fans or public. I didn’t care about it, but now I’m sure this ranking is just a joke.

They took me off from the lightweight division ranking. Ige stepped up 4 positions and I am not even in the ranking in the featherweight division, in a fight that the whole word knows that I won. It doesn’t make any sense. @ufc @danawhite

Barboza’s team filed an appeal for his razor-thin loss to Paul Felder last September, but they were denied. Filing an appeal was not an option for his loss to Ige due to the Florida State Boxing Commission’s rules, but Barboza did request that the UFC show him some respect and pay him his win bonus.
