Michael Bisping reveals entire family caught COVID-19: ‘It’s been pretty bloody miserable’

Suffice to say, UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping’s Christmas could’ve been better.

Bisping revealed Thursday on his YouTube channel that everyone in his family spent the holiday dealing with COVID-19 after he, his wife and three kids tested positive for the virus. According to Bisping, his oldest son, Callum, “went to a wrestling tournament, got COVID and gave it back to the entire house.”

Bisping, 42, detailed the severity of his family’s experience.

“We had a nice Christmas in the Bisping household, but – BUT – we all got COVID, every single one of us.” Bisping said. “So the last few days in my house have been not the best day, shall we say. It’s been pretty bloody miserable if I’m honest.

“From Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, my wife and I, we were in bed all day, couldn’t get out of the house. And I know you don’t want to hear about COVID, but tough sh*t! That was my Christmas basically. Well, Christmas day was good, then I started feeling really bad as the day progressed. And, yeah, the last few days just laid in bed, feeling bad, aches, all that stuff.”

It’s unclear if Bisping and his family, who live in Southern California, are vaccinated.

Bisping’s revelation came as the U.S. surpassed 2 million cases of COVID-19 for the first time during the pandemic, as the omicron variant surges across the country.

The 2.49 million COVID-19 cases within the past week outpaced the previous record of 1.7 million cases from Jan. 3-9, 2021, according to a USA TODAY analysis of Johns Hopkins data.

McGregor hasn’t competed...
