Israel Adesanya is once again middleweight champion after delivering a spectacular knockout of Alex Pereira in Saturday’s UFC 287 headliner.
Adesanya (24-2 MMA, 13-2 UFC) promised to exercise his combat sports demons against Pereira (7-2 MMA, 4-1 UFC) in their fourth career encounter, and he did just that with a second-round knockout of the Brazilian at Kaseya Center in Miami.
After the title win, Adesanya shut down the possibility of an MMA trilogy bout with Pereira, who beat him to take the title in November. So what comes next instead?
