Although no fights are going on at the moment, the MMA world was still buzzing with news to discuss Friday.
Most of that news revolved around UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, who was arrested Thursday in Albuquerque, N.M., on multiple charges, including aggravated DWI and negligent use of a firearm.
The incident, which is far from Jones’ first run-in with the law, raises questions about one of the sport’s top pound-for-pound fighters and what it means for his future.
There’s also the ever-evolving situation with UFC 249, which does not yet have an official location, but UFC president Dana White assures the April 18 event will go down and feature Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson in the headliner.
