The middleweight title will be unified in front of a potential record crowd in October when Robert Whittaker and Israel Adesanya clash in the UFC 243 headliner.
Champion Whittaker (20-4 MMA, 11-2 UFC) and interim champ Adesanya (17-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC) will decide the top dog at 185 pounds on Oct. 5 (Oct. 6 locally) at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia. The promotion is expecting a new company attendance high of nearly 60,000 fans.
It’s arguably the biggest fight the UFC has put on in the Oceanic market to date, and Monday the promotion released the official poster for UFC 243.
