ONE Championship’s first event on Amazon Prime Video started off with a bang.
In the opening bout of ONE on Prime Video 1, Sweden’s Zebaztian Kadestam met Iuri Lapicus in the first of five MMA bouts scheduled for the event at Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore.
Kadestam would not need long to add to his highlight reel of finishes under the ONE Championship banner.
A few moments after Lapicus secured a takedown and landed strikes on the mat, Kadestam got back to his feet and began looking for the opening to land something significant. At the 57-second mark, Kadestam found it when he landed a beautiful right uppercut that put Lapicus out cold.

Kadestam makes in two first-round finishes in a row following a stoppage win over Valmir da Silva in February. The 10-fight veteran of ONE Championship improves to 6-4 with the promotion, with each of his wins coming by finish.
Lapicus is now winless in his last three outings, losing in the first round against Christian Lee, a no contest against Eddie Alvarez, and tonight’s result against Kadestam. Prior to his recent skid, Lapicus was undefeated in the first 13 fights of his pro career.

LAS VEGAS – Karine Silva has heard the praise. Even though the narratives are largely complementary, Silva (17-3 MMA, 3-0 UFC) admits her run toward UFC notoriety isn’t as quick and effortless as it may seem. “It wasn’t quick, guys. It wasn’t fast,” Silva told MMA Junkie and other...
