Saturday’s UFC pay-per-view event in Miami was full of action-packed fights — and injuries, too.
UFC 299 took place at Kaseya Center and featured 14 bouts and 28 fighters. Five of those fighters were handed indefinite medical suspensions as a result of injuries sustained in their bouts. Fourteen more received shorter suspensions, ranging from 30-60 days. Nine fighters were lucky enough to walk away medically unscathed and were not suspended at all.
It’s important to note some fighters may return before the conclusion of their suspensions if they are cleared by a physician.
Tuesday, MMA Junkie acquired a full list of medical suspensions from the Florida Athletic Commission (FAC), which oversaw the event.
