The event takes place at Pepsi Center in Denver. The card airs on FS1 following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass.

In the main event, Chan Sung Jung (14-4 MMA, 3-1 UFC) takes on Yair Rodriguez (10-2 MMA, 6-1 UFC) in a featherweight bout. In the co-feature, Donald Cerrone (33-11 MMA, 20-8 UFC) meets Mike Perry (12-3 MMA, 5-3 UFC) at welterweight.

Ashley Yoder vs. Amanda Cooper

Round 1 – Cooper the more active fighter early, kicking the legs. Yoder misses on a straight left counter and backs off as Cooper charges with a combo. They clash and trade heavy straight punches. Yoder trying to land that straight left as Cooper comes in. Cooper catches her anyway with a pair of shots. Next exchanges, Yoder’s left straight is good. But Cooper’s jab is now catching her, and leg kicks are piling up. Cooper’s aggressiveness is allowing her to get inside and land punches. Out of nowhere, she charges in and hits the cage. Easy takedown, and pass attempt follows. Yoder traps the arm and tries to adjust, but Cooper passes to side control. Yoder triangles her head, which slows down the action, and not much else. Cooper working from side control, and Yoder explodes to her hands and knees, avoiding a kimura, and gets to top position. She stands overhead and tries to fling down a punch. Cooper gets out of the way and tries to throw up a submission. Yoder stays in control and ends the frame on top as time runs out. MMAjunkie scores the opening frame 10-9 for Cooper.

Round 2 – Yoder jabs backward as Cooper charges in. Straight left good now. More forward movement from Yoder. Cooper comes back, and they trade heavy hooks. Yoder senses Cooper is hurt and charges in, clinching up and throwing knees. Cooper closes distance after breaking off and goes for another takedown. They wrestle for position against the cage, and Yoder briefly puts Cooper on the mat with an overhook and a push. Cooper still has her pressed against the fence, but judo throw gives Yoder the takedown, and she’s now on top. Cooper tries to kick off, and Yoder follows to half-guard. Cooper kicks her off and presses to the fence. Smothering Yoder, Cooper won’t concede control of the position. She repeatedly tries for the takedown and gets it on the third try with a double-leg. Big elbow from up top. Yoder trying to work a high guard. Pass attempt successful, but it’s a major fight as Yoder scrambles to keep distance. Finally, Cooper passes, and Yoder again triangles the head and legs. Time runs out, and MMAjunkie scores the second frame 10-9 for Cooper, giving her the 20-18 score.

Round 3 – Yoder presses in and lands her straight left. Cooper fires back, and they reset. Right hand and front kick good for Cooper, and a one-two also clips Yoder’s chin. Another combo, another connection. Cooper outstriking Yoder so far with more diversified combos. Yoder switches it up and grabs the head to slip in a knee. They trade power punches and reset. Cooper again windmills in and makes something land. Cooper charges and gets the double leg. But Yoder rolls with the takedown and flips over her opponent to get on top. It isn’t long before Cooper secures a kimura and cranks. Yoder works to pass, and she stands overhead to find a way in. Cooper’s legs make that tough. When she gets to the mat, she suddenly steps over and goes for a kneebar. A tense minute, but Cooper steps out of it and then takes her own armbar attempt. Cooper has belly down, but Yoder steps over and gets out of danger. As Cooper gets up, Yoder slips to the back and gets back control. They fall back to the canvas, and Yoder cranks for her life on the face of Cooper. But that’s not enough for the tap, and she runs out of time. MMAjunkie scores the frame 10-9 for Yoder, and she gets the 29-28 score.

Chas Skelly vs. Bobby Moffett

Round 1 – Moffett darting in and out, looking for a way in. No early rush from Skelly, who ducks under a hook and blocks another. He finally fires back as Moffett approaches, going with a one-two. They trade leg kicks, and Moffett lands a punch. He goes back to the legs and starts to connect with right hands. Skelly ducks under for a takedown and gets to the back, wrapping the torso. Moffett grabs the fence to slow things down, and Skelly jumps on the back. They pitch to the ground, and Skelly starts searching for that rear-naked choke. Moffett resists the first try and hits the mat. Skelly still hanging on against the fence. Punches to soften things up. Moffett stands and lets gravity do the work. Skelly punches the side of the head over and over, forcing Moffett to defend. Skelly takes a break, then starts punching again. Moffett takes Skelly’s right arm and starts using it as a lever to buck off his opponent. Skelly has the body triangle and won’t let go. Moffett trying to get creative with cranks of the right arm. Skelly finally gives up, and Moffett comes out swinging. The round ends before he can get going, and MMAjunkie scores the frame 10-9 for Skelly.

Round 2 – Moffett approaches again and draws a few jabs. Calf kicks from Moffett, and Skelly repays with right hands. Skelly swinging wild, while Moffett’s punches are tighter and more accurate. Uppercut from Skelly gets right hand from Moffett, and Moffett closes for the takedown attempt. He hoists Skelly and slams him sideways. Skelly sits up, but Moffett manages to take top position and advance. Skelly cage walks, he thinks to freedom. Instead, he walks right into a D’Arce choke attempt from Moffett. As Moffett cranks, Skelly walks his legs to take off the pressure, and the two rotate counter clockwise. The referee steps in to stop things, and Skelly immediately protests. It looks like he wasn’t out, and the stoppage was bad. Audience boos, and Skelly paces the octagon as Moffett celebrates.

Davi Ramos vs. John Gunther

Round 1 – Gunther works a jab early, and Ramos uses the first kick to initiate a takedown attempt. He’s all over Gunther, taking the back in a flash with a roll. Against the fence, Gunther is trying to control Ramos’ legs, and he stands up. Ramos wraps one arm around the neck, then secures the other one. Gunther peels off the offending limb and manages to avoid the first choke attempt. But Ramos is still on his back at the cage. Ramos boxes his head with a punch and then throws his arms into position, sinking the arm under the neck and transitioning into a perfect rear-naked choke. Tap or go to sleep, and Gunther chooses the former. Dominant.

Devonte Smith vs. Julian Erosa

Round 1 – Erosa working leg kicks early. Body punch off Smith’s counter. Smith makes him pay with jabs on the next approach. Erosa with a glancing hook. Smith counters a lazy leg kick with a picture-perfect one-two that drops Erosa. Smith pounces and lets his hands go with a flurry of punches that forces the referee to intervene. Impressive octagon debut for the newcomer.

Joseph Morales vs. Eric Shelton

Round 1 – Shelton slips in a jab after some cautious eyeing and peels off. Morales explodes in with a combination, and Shelton easily evades. For now, Shelton is calm and collected, patiently picking his shots as Morales inches forward. Jab gets to Morales before he can fire back a kick. Shelton nearly catches Morales coming in and shucks off a possible takedown before resetting. Morales again searching for the headkick. Morales ducks away from a left hook and resets. Morales swinging for the fences, but his foe is getting out of the way. Right hand tags Morales as he kicks. Back in, they clash legs, and Shelton breaks things up with a takedown. Morales wraps the head and tries to sit up. First attempt stuffed, and next try prompts Shelton to take the back in a scramble. Morales patient and turns out before standing up. Back on the jab is Shelton, who again explodes into a takedown. Morales wraps the head and tries a guillotine, and Shelton moves to clear the legs. Morales adjusts and cranks with all his might, but Shelton adjusts position and gets free. Time runs out before he can ground and pound much. MMAjunkie scores the frame 10-9 for Shelton.

Round 2 – Shelton goes back to the jab and waits until a leg kick to explode into a takedown. Morales sits up and scoots back to the cage. With a hand posted, he manages to get up and fires an elbow that forces Shelton to duck. Head kick from Morales misses, and he ducks under a Shelton combo. Shelton good with a right hand on the next exchange. Morales on the offensive, but it isn’t long before Shelton ducks under for the takedown. Guillotine attempt ensues, and Shelton is in trouble. But he manages to hang on, and his head pops free. Ground and pound from Shelton, who has the rest of the round to work. Morales shrimps back to the fence as Shelton tries to hold on to the torso. Seated against the fence, Morales tries several times to push the head and get up. Finally, he gets up and they battle for position before breaking off. Head kick attempt again from Morales. Shelton back with a body kick, and again, he shoots in for the takedown. This time, Morales sprawls and nearly takes mount before securing a triangle position and elbowing the head. Time runs out, and it’s Morales’ round for a 19-19 score.

Round 3 – Shelton active early with his fists. Morales blocks the shots and inches forward. Shelton trying to give him pause with counters, and he eats a shot as his opponent closes. Now, it’s Morales ducking under for the takedown. Scramble from Shelton good for the escape, and they’re back in open range. Morales still pursuing the fight, and Shelton ducks under again. Guillotine attempt from Morales, and Shelton waits it out to keep top position. Kimura attempt not good for the reversal, but it helps him get to the cage edge, and as he stands, Shelton lands a knee to the head. It isn’t long before Shelton is back on the takedown, and Morales is once again on his back. Two minutes left, and it’s Shelton’s fight to lose. Morales at the cage, and Shelton working the body with punches. Morales turns against the fence and stands up. Shelton gets to his back and punches as Morales stands. Scoop of the legs puts Morales back on his butt. He’s trying to stand again, but Shelton gets to his back and tries to take the back with a trip. Shelton with a spinning elbow after Morales gets free, and they scramble for position as the round comes to an end. Largely a stalemate in the final grappling exchange, but it’s clear Shelton takes the round 10-9 for the 29-28 score.

Mark De La Rosa vs. Joby Sanchez

Round 1 – De La Rosa repays a jab with a leg kick and presses in. Sanchez working the counter early, then explodes with his own combination. De La Rosa absorbs a left trying to catch his opponent coming in. Sanchez moving laterally and countering the low kick with punches. De La Rosa changes levels and presses to the fence for a takedown. Sanchez pushes the head as De La Rosa grabs a leg. De La Rosa hanging on as they stall. Finally forced to give up, and Sanchez circles out. Big punches from Sanchez that miss.. The left is good on the second try, and De La Rosa counters with his own punch. Sanchez circles out, and De La Rosa closes into another exchange, drawing heavy counters. De La Rosa attacks the legs again, and Sanchez comes back with counter hooks. De La Rosa tagging the legs regularly. Sanchez working his jab as De La Rosa comes in. He’s landing in close in exchange for the leg hosts he’s taking. Sanchez resets and moves laterally. De La Rosa charges in and gets turned against the cage, and the two end the first frame stalled against the fence. MMAjunkie scores the frame 10-9 for Sanchez.

Round 2 – Sanchez on his bike early, working the jab and then following with a power hand on the follow-up. De La Rosa firing the uppercut as his opponent comes in. Moderate success in close, but he’s still trying to chase down Sanchez. De La Rosa closes in for a clinch against the fence, and Sanchez turns him and goes for the takedown. Guillotine attempt forces him to give up the try, and he goes back upstairs for short clinch work before breaking off. De La Rosa attacking the legs again and working combos as his opponent gets close. Better accuracy this round from De La Rosa, who’s using more high-volume combos that are paying off. Sanchez slips in a great left hook, his best attack of the fight so far. De La Rosa is undeterred and continues to pressure. They punch into the clinch, and De La Rosa drops for a single. Punches from Sanchdez to slow the journey, and De La Rosa turns his foe and gets to the back. Underhook allows Sanchez to escape danger and put his opponent to the fence. Punches against knees in clinch, and Sanchez peels off. De La Rosa still pressuring and firing off combos. A right hand seems to crack Sanchez, and a low kick stings. Sanchez still has his left hand, but De La Rosa’s pace is starting to get to him. Round ends with De La Rosa in pursuit, and MMAjunkie scores the frame 10-9 for De La Rosa, evening it at 19-19.

Round 3 – Sanchez comes out swinging, and De La Rosa obliges with heavy hands. Sanchez the first to back off, but De La Rosa won’t let him go, and they trade again. Low kick again stings Sanchez, and they clinch up briefly. Sanchez looks a lot more tentative and tired this round. He snaps to it and fires off a heavy cross and follows with a left hook. Jab intercepts De La Rosa coming in. Sanchez times some nice counters at De La Rosa as he comes in aggressively. De La Rosa’s face bleeding. He whiffs on an overhand right. Sanchez sets and fires his right, but De La Rosa ducks, and they clinch up briefly. De La Rosa back to countering, but he gets tagged with a right hand, and then another. His aggression isn’t accompanied by the same control of timing as Sanchez. He keeps coming, though, and puts a right hand on Sanchez that scores big. One minute left, and De La Rosa snaps the leg and ducks under for a takedown. He pushes Sanchez to the fence and goes for the single. Fight for position, and De La Rosa tries to adjust and trap a leg. Sanchez isn’t having it and escapes. One last dance, and the crowd cheers. Sanchez misses on a combination and De La Rosa can’t get him on the comeback. Time runs out, and MMAjunkie scores the frame 10-9 for De La Rosa, who gets the 29-28 score.
