Alex Caceres added one to the highlight reel Saturday at the UFC Apex.
In a featherweight main card bout at UFC Fight Night 216, Caceres (20-13 MMA, 15-11 UFC) high-kicked his way to victory when he finished Julian Erosa (28-10 MMA, 6-6 UFC) at the 3:04 mark of Round 1.
After nearly three minutes of technical striking, Caceres ended the bout when he hid a kick behind his punch on the same side. When the punch missed, the kick was right there – and Erosa didn’t see it.
The kick floored Erosa, who tried to recover. As Erosa’s brain tried to unscramble, he was met with some follow-up punches from Caceres that finished the job with punches.

With the win, Caceres bounced back from a March loss to Sodiq Yusuff and moved to 6-1 in his most recent seven. A three-fight winning streak for Erosa came to an end.
