UFC on ESPN+ 10 play-by-play and live results

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – MMA Junkie is on scene and reporting live from Saturday’s UFC on ESPN+ 10 event, and you can join us for live play-by-play and official results beginning at 5 p.m. ET (2 p.m. PT).

The event takes place at Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, N.Y. The card streams on ESPN+.

In the main event, former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos (28-11 MMA, 17-9 UFC) takes on Kevin Lee (17-4 MMA, 10-4 UFC) in Lee’s move to 170 pounds. In the co-feature, Ian Heinisch (12-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) meets Antonio Carlos Junior (10-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) at middleweight.

Up next:

Rafael dos Anjos vs. Kevin Lee

Round 1 – Dos Anjos and Lee trade body kicks to begin the fight. They are both loading up heavy on their punches and Lee tags dos Anjos with a short punch then shoots for a takedown. He tries to control dos Anjos, who scrambles up to his feet and is able to break Lee’s grip. Lee lands a body kick then connects with an uppercut. Dos Anjos is trying to respond but Lee’s volume is causing problems. Lee shoots for a takedown but dos Anjos defends against the gate. Lee is relentless in going for the takedown, but dos Anjos is holding strong and answering with short knees. Lee peppers the body with punches before the break. They fight in open space and Lee is consistently throwing. Lee lands two vicious knees to the body and dos Anjos tries to answer with a flying knee. Dos Anjos shoots for a takedown of his own and is able to put Lee on his back right away. Lee scrambles free and shoots in on a takedown that puts dos Anjos against the fence just before the end of the round. MMA Junkie scores the first 10-9 for Lee.

Round 2 – Lee wastes no time shooting for a takedown in the second frame and dos Anjos defends with a guillotine choke attempt. He uses the submission to sweep and get back to his feet, but Lee stays on him and applies pressure with the takedown attempts. Dos Anjos is calm, though, and evades the takedown to get free. He ires a head kick on Lee that’s barely blocked. Dos Anjos follow with a takedown that briefly puts Lee’s knees on the mat, but he’s able to get up and get free. Lee lands a nice combination that makes dos Anjos back up into the cage. Lee once again goes back to the takedown attempt, but he’s having trouble getting dos Anjos off his feet. Lee keeps the cage pressure up for the almost two minutes but nothing significant happens. They finally break and dos Anjos lands some clean punches on Lee which makes him shoot a desperation takedown. Dos Anjos easily sprawls before the end of the round. MMA Junkie scores the second round 10-9 for dos Anjos.

Round 3 – Dos Anjos runs at Lee and connects with a hard shot. Lee walks forward with a body kick and puts a combination together. Dos Anjos changes levels for the takedown and immediately advances into side control. Lee scrambles to his feet but heads a huge knee to the body in the process. They go right back into a grappling exchange and Lee briefly takes the back of Lee. He can’t do anything with the position, though, and overtakes top position. Lee gets up, but dos Anjos drags him right back down to the mat and has found a consistent home for his takedown at this point. He can’t do anything with them, however, and Lee is able to reverse the position and pressure with takedown attempts of his own. There’s not much threat or damage from any of the positions, but Lee seems to do more. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Lee, giving him the 29-28 edge.

Round 4 – Dos Anjos circles the cage as Lee looks to hunt him down with the jab and kicks. They throw kicks simultaneously and Lee’s lands to the groin of dos Anjos, briefly pausing the action. The fight resumes and dos Anjos lands a stiff kick to the knee that buckles Lee. He shakes it off and chases the takedown but spends little time in the clinch before it’s back to striking range. Lee lands a set of solid body kicks before going back to the takedown again. Dos Anjos is comfortable defending it against the fence, though, eventually finds a way out. He punishes Lee with some body shots then throws a kick that turns into a takedown attempt from Lee. He tries to grab the ankle of dos Anjos, who slips free and moves into back control. Lee slips over but puts himself right into position for an arm-triangle choke. Dos Anjos locks it in and after a few moments forces the tap for his 18th UFC victory.

Julio Arce vs. Julian Erosa

Round 1 – The first minute sees a feeling out process, with neither man committing to anything significant or landing. Erosa finally lands a grazing left hook but then retreats. Arce lands a nice short punch from inside and attempts to clinch up, but can’t get ahold of Erosa. Arce lands a low kick and Erosa fires back with a multi-punch combination. Arce pressures Erosa and is beginning to find a home for his left hand. Erosa connects with a hard body kick and Arce tries to clinch. Erosa briefly pushes him against the fence but then the action breaks into free space. Erosa lands an uppercut and Arce fires back. Erosa is beginning to land more frequently and is mixing up his strikes. Arce lands a snapping front kick to the face then a punch sees Erosa slip to the canvas. Erosa quickly gets up before the end of the round. MMA Junkie scores the first round 10-9 for Erosa.

Round 2 – Arce lands a huge right hook in the opening seconds of the round, but Erosa somehow takes it without issue. Arce chases Erosa with more punches but Erosa earns his space back with some solid hooks. Both men are exchanging from inside the pocket but are just avoiding taking anything too clean. They briefly clinch against the fence and Arce is finding his range with the straight left. Erosa is still content to push forward though and throws a pair of head kicks that are just blocked. After some more exchanges Erosa shoots for the first takedown of he fight but is easily tossed aside by Arce. After some more exchanges Erosa shoots again and presses Arce up against the fence for the remainder of the round. MMA Junkie scores the second round 10-9 for Arce.

Round 3 – The activity picks right back up in the final frame with Erosa looking to pressure and Arce working his counters. Arce is comfortable with the range of the fight and is landing his left hand with regularity. Erosa is sneaking in some shots of his own, but is eating the bigger ones in return. Arce continues to throw hands then mixes in a left head kick that connects flush and puts Erosa out cold! Beautiful knockout by Arce.

Zak Cummings vs. Trevin Giles

Round 1 – Cummings and Giles are gauging the distance to open the fight and Cummings fires first with a combination that falls shy of landing. Giles lands a thumping inside leg kick and he appears to be gaining confidence. Giles has his hands low and is throwing snapping front kicks to the body and legs of Cummings, who fires back with a low kick and body punch. Giles is throwing but can’t find his target. Cummings connects with a massive body kick but Giles absorbs it. A small cut is open above the right eye of Cummings, who is not bothered as he lands another leg kick. Giles is working his jab but isn’t doing much else in terms of output. Cummings is pressuring and forces his way into the clinch and pushes Giles against the fence. Giles turns it around, though, and holds the position until the horn. MMA Junkie scores the first round 10-9 for Cummings.

Round 2 – Both men land solid right hands within the first 30 seconds of the round. Cummings scores with another low kick and pursues Giles with punches on the feet, but he can’t find his distance. Giles loads up but Cummings force him to back off with another kick. Giles is picking up his activity but is still content with countering while Cummings comes after him. Giles then lands a low blow on Cummings and the referee steps in to pause the action. Cummings takes some time to recovery and the fight resumes with him appearing to be OK. Cummings lands two consecutive leg kicks and gets himself into the clinch with Giles in the center of octagon. Giles stays calm and maneuvers his way out of the clinch into free space. They trade punches before Cummings moves into the clinch again. He secures a body lock and is nearly able to drag Giles down to the mat before time expires in the round. MMA Junkie scores the second round 10-9 for Cummings.

Round 3 – Cummings comes out rather aggressively in the final frame after corner instructions to break through Giles’ range and secure a takedown. Cummings’ activity is starting to drown Giles a touch. Giles is working behind his jab in the counters but is still struggling to hurt Cummings. Cummings nearly gets a takedown but the fight ultimately stays standing and both side start to open up, with Cummings even throwing a flying attack. Cummings loads up on an overhand left that lands clean and drops Giles! He immediately jumps on a guillotine choke and is looking for the finish. Giles resists the original submission attempt, but tries to escape from the wrong side and Cummings forces the tap. Impressive stoppage to hand Giles his first career loss.

Patrick Cummins vs. Ed Herman

Round 1 – The fight opens with both men landing simultaneous jabs. Cummins is loading up with overhands while Herman is pumping the jab. Cummins is getting Herman’s attention with his punches but Herman seems to shake it off and lands a short right of his own followed by an uppercut moments later. Cummins scores with a stiff right and nearly connects with a head kick. Herman is trying to counter but Cummins shoots for a takedown that puts Herman down. It doesn’t stay there for long and Cummins blasts Herman with a punch that knocks his mouthguard out. The referee breaks the fight to get Herman his mouthpiece back and they exchange once the action resumes. They get into a clinch exchange and Herman lands a grazing knee that immediately puts Cummins on wobbly legs. Herman chases him and lands some big punches on Cummins, who is face-first on the mat, that force the referee referee to step in and call the TKO.

Mike Trizano vs. Grant Dawson

Round 1 – Dawson comes out immediately looking to grapple as he clinches up with Trizano, who is able to turn the action around on the fence. Dawson gets a reversal of his own, though, and is looking to drag his opponent down to the canvas. Trizano keeps patient and is eventually able to shake free. Dawson lands a leg kick and Trizano is looking to put together punching combinations paired with low kicks. Dawson nearly lands flush on a head kick as well as a stepping knee. Dawson changes levels and shoots for a takedown that puts Trizano on the mat. Dawson looks to take the back as Trizano stands up, but can’t secure the position. Trizano once again methodically gets out of the clinch before taking any serious damage and they get back to striking. Trizano stings Dawson with a hard jab that forces him into a sloppy takedown attempt. Trizano shuts it down and but again finds himself stuck against the fence. Dawson trips Trizano from the clinch and ends the round in side control. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Dawson.

Round 2 – Trizano comes out pumping the jab and he lands it multiple times. Dawson is trying to pressure and attack the body as he moves into the clinch again. He secures the body lock again and trips Trizano down to the canvas. Dawson works to advance his position and it causes Trizano to give up his back. Dawson is working of rate rear-naked choke, but Trizano is controlling the arms. Dawson gets an arm free, though, and punishes Trizano with some heavy shots from on top. Dawson has the body triangle and gets the forearm under the neck for the rear-naked choke. Trizano tries to survive, but is flattened out and left with no choice but to tap out to Dawson for the first loss of his career.

Michel Pereira vs. Danny Roberts

Round 1 – Pereira lands a left hook that staggers Roberts early and forces him to back up toward the fence. Pereira jumps off the cage but Roberts evades before anything lands. Pereira lands another hard punch then spins forward with rolling thunder, but it misses. Pereira lands a hard body kick on Roberts. Pereira throws a superman punch then tries to jump off the cage again. Pereira throws a flying knee that connects flush and Roberts is hurt bad. Pereira lands a straight right hand that drops Roberts and put him out cold. Spectacular UFC debut for the Brazilian!

Desmond Green vs. Charles Jourdain

Round 1 – Jourdain leaps forward with a stepping knee and throws a head kick at Green, but everything is of the mark. Green connects with a body kick followed by a left hand. Jourdain is light on his feet and pressing forward on Green with his punches. Green’s short left hook is effective but Jourdain is not deterred. Green is gaining respect with his punches though and fires off a series of punches to Jourdain’s body from inside the clinch. Green is finding the range with his punches and Jourdain is struggling with the output of Green. Jourdain throws a flying knee that grazes the chin of Green, who moves forward with a takedown that puts him inside Jourdain’s guard. Green postures up and is lands some effective ground-and-pound. Jourdain waits for his moment to scramble and is able to get himself out from bottom with a few seconds left in the round. MMA Junkie scores the first round 10-9 for Green.

Round 2 – Jourdain throws two whipping kicks to the leg of Green, who doesn’t like it and come forward with a punch that backs Jourdain up. Jourdain lands a punch that catches Green off balance and he stumbles to the ground. Jourdain grabs the front head lock but Green quickly breaks away. Green nearly connects with a flying knee of his own before both fighters trade leg kicks. Green’s counter game is starting to work well for him but Jourdain is persistent with offense and keeps working the legs and body of his opponent with kicks. Green does some more effective punching work to the body but Jourdain doesn’t appear to be slowing down. Jourdain comes forward with some being heat on his punches but falls just shy of his target. They continue to trade, with Jourdain’s output causing some trouble for Green. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Green

Round 3 – Jourdain appears to be the fresher fighter to begin the final round and he’s fighting like it by piecing multi-strike combinations together. Green is happy to counter with single strikes at a time but he’s largely allowing Jourdain to control the pace. Jourdain’s leg kicks continue to add but, but Green is keeping himself in the fight with some accurate responses. Jourdain lands another low kick but Green changes levels and gets a very timely takedown. He immediately works to get back to his feet and briefly does, but Green drags Jourdain back to the mat again. Jourdain climbs back to the feet again, though, and in a brilliant of defense. He charges at Green with punches and flying attacks until the final bell. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Jourdain, giving Green the 29-28 nod.

Aspen Ladd vs. Sijara Eubanks

Round 1 – Eubanks comes forward throwing heavy shots to start but Ladd evades and counters with a nice right hand. Eubanks closes the distance and gets ahold of Ladd and picks her up and slams her to the mat. Ladd takes the slam well but is stuck on bottom. Eubanks has Ladd against the fence and is trying to pin down the arm from half guard. Ladd gives up her back and uses the cage to get back to her feet. Ladd gets out of a bad position and goes for a guillotine on Eubanks. She forces Eubanks toward the ground and is now the one on top. She takes the back and is working for a choke, but Eubanks rolls and almost gets on top. They scramble and Ladd is controlling and landing a free punches before Eubanks gets upright. Ladd drags Eubanks back down to the ground and again takes the back. Eubanks breaks free and an all-out brawl takes place in the final 10 seconds. They trade punches and Eubanks tags Ladd multiple times. Eubanks catches a kick and spills Ladd to the canvas and jumps on top with some heavy punches to close it out, potentially stealing the round. Tough one to score, but MMA Junkie gives it 10-9 to Eubanks for the late damage.

Round 2 – Eubanks is head-hunting to begin the round and Ladd is not interested in spending much time exchanging. She closes the distance on Eubanks and pushes her against the fence. Ladd methodically works away at Eubanks and waits for her moment to score a trip from inside the clinch. Ladd lands in side control and before long advances to mount. Eubanks stays calm but eventually decides to give up the back in hopes of getting up. Ladd applies a chin lock and squeezes away at Eubanks, who falls tot he mat but is able to peel the hands away and temporarily avoid the submission. Ladd gets it under the neck moments later and somehow Eubanks powers herself out of position, but she is getting overwhelmed. Ladd is in half guard and lands some punishing ground-and-pound shots on Eubanks. Ladd tries to isolate an arm for a submission but gives it up to unleash some more shots on Eubanks to close out a dominant round. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-8 for Ladd.

Round 3 – Ladd pushes forward to begin the final frame and working around her jab. Eubanks still carries power late in the fight though and is doing damage whenever she connects. Ladd won’t give up on the pressure though and continues to swing at Eubanks, who is having trouble working from inside the pocket. Ladd clinches up and trades punches and elbows with Eubanks before breaking free. Ladd stings Eubanks with a nice jab followed by a right hand. Eubanks answers with a combination of her own and it briefly turns back into a slugfest. Eubanks is hitting Ladd but her power doesn’t seem to be of concern with less than two minutes left. Ladd shoots for a takedown and Eubanks denies the initial entry but has her back against the fence. Ladd is fighting mightily to put Eubanks on her back but gives up on it in the final seconds. They trade punches down to the final wire to close out an exciting bout. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Ladd, giving her the 29-27 nod on our scorecard.

Davi Ramos vs. Austin Hubbard

Round 1 – Ramos shows a patient look to begin the fight and the newcomer Hubbard is also somewhat hesitant to pull the trigger. Both men land simultaneous low blows, but neither is seriously impacted. The referee calls a brief break then the fight resumes. Ramos steps in with a leg kick followed by a combinations of punches. Hubbard snaps a front kick and is beginning to look more comfortable and confident. Hubbard lands a nice right hand then misses with a big attempt at a follow-up shot. Ramos still looks composed and lands another leg kick. Hubbard lands a right hand followed by an inside leg kick. Hubbard is using his size and length well but Ramos is not afraid to step inside. He backs Hubbard up right a right hand and moments later Hubbard accidentally pokes him in the eye. The fight resumes and not long after Ramos finally decides to shoot in for a takedown. He puts Hubbard on the mat and quickly takes his back. He begins to work for the choke but he’s short on time and Hubbard survives the round. MMA Junkie scores the opening frame 10-9 for Ramos.

Round 2 – They trade leg kicks to begin the second. Ramos lands a body kick and Hubbard is backing up gingerly on his leg. They clash legs again on kicks then Hubbard comes up the middle with a nice knee that’s followed by multiple punches. Ramos is not liking the striking at the moment and opts to shoot for a takedown. Hubbard denies the initial entry against the fence but Ramos has a waist-lock from back position. Ramos sits and drags Hubbard to the mat. Hubbard avoids the dangerous spot and escapes free and up to his feet. He chases Ramos with his punches and is mixing in some timely kicks. Ramos steps into the pocket and lands his right hand before changing levels for another takedown attempt. He completes it near the fence and Ramos establishes top position. He’s working from half guard with ground-and-pound, but like the first frame is short on time and can’t make anything super significant happen. Nevertheless, MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Ramos and he’s well ahead on the card.

Round 3 – Hubbard chops at Ramos’ legs with two heavy kicks to start the final round. Ramos stays composed through the initial flurry and settles back into his own offense, mixing leg kicks and right hands. One of Ramos’ punches hurts Hubbard who shows wobbly legs and is retreating toward the cage. Ramos chases after him and unleashes a massive flurry of punches, a lot of which are tagging Hubbard. Despite that, Hubbard somehow survives the onslaught of offense but is put on his back again by Ramos, who this time has more than two minutes to work. Ramos is landing ground-and-pound to the head and body. Referee Keith Peterson then decides to step in with an inexplicable stand-up while Ramos is working. Hubbard sees an opportunity to get a desparation win and goes a right after Ramos. He lands a grazing shot that puts Ramos on his back but spends the rest of the fight standing over him before jumping in the guard with seconds left. Too little too late for the UFC newcomer, though. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Ramos, who takes a 30-27 sweep on our card.

Charles Oliveira vs. Nik Lentz

Round 1 – Both men come out swinging punches and Oliveira stops into the clinch and start to work from inside. Lentz nearly scores with a head kick then lands a right hand. Oliveira comes forward with a jumping kick and Lentz clinches and loos like he was thinking about a takedown before breaking free. Oliveira tags Lentz hard but he wears it well. Lentz engages the clinch again but it doesn’t stay there for long. Oliveira is using his range effectively and Lentz is having some trouble getting inside with his punches. Oliveira lands a slick superman elbow that cuts Lentz open and forces him to commit to a body lock. Oliveira steps into free space and tags Lentz with the hands again. Lentz lands a pair of right body kicks but takes a left hand in response. Oliveira lands a jumping front kick that causes Lentz to shoot for a takedown. Oliveira instantly sweeps Lentz and gets into top control. Lentz is trying to scramble but takes a stiff elbow, then another. Lentz recovers guard but is being suffocated by Oliveira top pressure with less than one minute left. Lentz manages to find a moment to scramble free and Oliveira keeps up the pressure on the feet, closing the round with a 360 head kick attempt. MMA Junkie scores the opening frame 10-9 for Oliveira.

Round 2 – Lentz goes after Oliveira in the opening seconds but finds himself in a guillotine within the first 30 seconds of the round. Lentz looks like he’s on the verge of tapping but somehow escapes. He postures up over Oliveira, who throws an illegal up kick to Lentz’s face. After a stoppage and warning from the referee, the action resumes with Oliveira on his back and Lentz in guard. The fight gets back to the feet and Oliveira goes after Lentz and connects with a huge punch that floors him! He follows up with some shots on the ground and Lentz turtles up and the fight is stopped, giving Oliveira his fifth consecutive win.

Derrick Krantz vs. Vicente Luque

Round 1 – Krantz runs across the cage and rocks Luque with his first punch and he’s got him in trouble. Luque jumps on a guillotine choke from a standing position that allows him to clear the cobwebs. Krantz shakes him off and takes top position. He lands a few short punches and Luque opts to give up his back. Krantz is trying to flatten him out then rolls her and is trying to finish the choke. He falls off the side of Luque and tries to transition into a guillotine choke. Luque is keeping patient and escapes up to his feet. Luque tags Krantz with a jab and follows with a left hook and left kick. Krantz is winging wild punch and Luque is trying to pick him apart. Krantz settles down a big but eats a hard left hand that wobbles him badly. Krantz tries to stay on his feet but he takes another clean shot that puts him down on his knees. Luque lands punches from a front headlock position and the referee steps in. Krantz gets to his feet and tries to protest but he’s still hurt, justifying the stoppage. Luque extends his winning streak to five, all by stoppage.

Megan Anderson vs. Felicia Spencer

Round 1 – Spencer opens with an inside leg kick but takes a huge counter cross in return. She briefly clinches with Anderson before they break p and trade shots. Spencer pursues the clinch again and puts Anderson’s back against the fence and begins to work with knees and short punches. Anderson tries to escape but it allows Spencer to scrambles and jump on the back. They fall to the floor and Spencer is trying to secure the position before she goes for the submission. Anderson is desperately holding onto the hands but Spencer gets one free and begins to unleash punches on her opponent. Spencer breaks Anderson down with punches over the next few minutes until she finds space to flatten Anderson out and lock in the rear-naked choke, forcing the tap in the opening round.

Antonio Carlos Junior vs. Ian Heinisch

Round 1 – Heinisch waists no time attacking the legs of Carlos Junior, who immediately opens up with his striking, throwing big punches and kicks. He gets close to Heinisch and secures a body lock and takedown within the first minute of the fight. Carlos Junior is in half guard and begins to soften Heinisch up with short punches and elbows to the body and head. Carlos Junior is looking to pass but Heinisch recovers guard and uses the fence to climb his way back to the feet. Carlos Junior still has ahold of Heinisch from a back waist lock position and is struggling to free himself, even trying to summersault his way out of the position multiple times. Heinisch can’t get away from Carlos Junior, who drags him down to the mat again and tries to work for his rear-naked choke. He gives up on it and rolls into a guillotine, but can’t finish that either. Carlos Junior advances to full mount but there’s less than 15 seconds left and he can’t do anything other than posture up and throw a few punches. Dominant round. MMA Junkie scores it 10-9 for Carlos Junior.

Round 2 – Heinisch comes out with more desperation in his approach as he wind up to kick the legs and loads up on punches for Carlos Junior. He comes short on multiple punch attempts. Heinisch looks to have head butted Carlos Junior in the eye and complains to the referee. He tells them to keep fighting because he didn’t see it and Heinisch rushes Carlos Junior, who changes levels and gets a takedown. Heinisch gives up his back again but is able to stand up while Carlos Junior rides position for the waist lock. The fight spills back to the ground, but Heinisch is able to reverse the position and get on top! The momentum changes as Heinisch postures up and begins to put in work on Carlos Junior. Heinisch lands some damaging shots as Carlos Junior tries to scramble and get back up to his feet but ends up spending a good amount of time on bottom to ride out the round. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Heinisch.

Round 3 – The action picks back up in the third with Heinisch trying to time big punches and Carlos Junior looking for the right moment to put the fight back on the floor. Carlos Junior lands a knee to the ground that forces the referee to intervene. Heinisch needs some time to recover but is good to go. The fight resumes and Heinisch tags Carlos Junior with a shots that sends him off his feet. He clinches as he tries to get up and Heinisch lands a solid knee that appears to rock the Brazilian. Carlos Junior is hanging onto a leg and trying to get a takedown but Heinisch is showing solid resistance. Carlos Junior tries to take the back but slips off and finds himself on the bottom. Heinisch is trying to land something meaningful but Carlos Junior shows good defense and picks his moment to sweep and get top control. Heinisch scrambles to get up and Carlos Junior goes for the guillotine. He gives up on it and tries to get on top of Heinisch again but he slips over the top again, allowing Heinisch to get on top in another critical moment of the fight. Heinisch keeps control for the rest of the fight and rides out the clock pouring the ground-and-pound on Carlos Junior. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Heinisch, giving him the 29-28 decision victory.
