Julian Erosa is back.
The featherweight veteran returned to the UFC with a bang Saturday night. Erosa (24-8 MMA, 2-4 UFC) picked up a submission win over Sean Woodson at UFC on ESPN 12 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The bout was contested at 150-pound catchweight.
The win over Woodson marked the start Erosa’s third stint in the UFC, having been released twice prior by the promotion. To make things more impressive, “Juicy J,” who initially got into the UFC via “The Ultimate Fighter 22.” took the fight against Woodson on less than a week’s notice, as Woodson’s original opponent was forced to withdraw from the bout. Erosa also gave Woodson his first professional defeat.
