Last week’s Bellator 282 and UFC on ESPN 38 events produced a number of moves in this week’s rankings update.
In the main event of Bellator 282, Johnny Eblen turned in his most impressive performance to date, completely shutting out now-former Bellator middleweight champion Gegard Mousasi. It was a dominant performance from beginning to end, and as a result, Eblen now rules the land in the middleweight division in Bellator. He also moves from unranked to claiming the No. 9 slot, while Mousasi falls from No. 4 to No. 10 in this week’s rankings.
The main event of UFC on ESPN 38 saw two exciting lightweights, Mateusz Gamrot and Arman Tsaruykan, give it their all for 25 minutes at the UFC Apex, resulting in a Fight of the Night award. Gamrot walked away with a razor-thin unanimous decision win, and enters the rankings at lightweight, taking the No. 15 spot. Tsarukyan falls, but is not far behind, as he moves from No. 14 to the honorable mentions.

McGregor hasn’t competed...
