UFC 287 just might be Jorge Masvidal’s last chance to make a run at becoming welterweight champion.
Masvidal, who’s on a three-fight losing streak, still remains one of the UFC’s biggest names, and on April 8 he meets top-ranked contender Gilbert Burns as a huge underdog. If Masvidal wins, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that he could earn another title shot after losing twice to then-champion Kamaru Usman.
Speaking of Usman, he meets champ Leon Edwards just a few weeks earlier at UFC 286 in London. If Edwards wins, a potential showdown with Masvidal looms if “Gamebred” pulls off the upset of Burns. The history between Edwards and Masvidal sets it up perfectly.
At 38, this could be it for Masvidal. Do you consider UFC 287 a do-or-die situation? Our “Spinning Back Clique” panel of Danny Segura, Farah Hannoun and Brian “Goze” Garcia answer that question with host “Gorgeous” George Garcia.
You can watch their discussion in the video above. And don’t miss this week’s full episode below.
