Video: Is Bobby Green making a mistake by stepping in to face Islam Makhachev?
Just days after his victory at UFC 271 in Houston, Bobby Green received a call to make another walk to the cage sooner than expected.
Ironically, during his media day interview ahead of his bout against Nasrat Haqparast, Green talked about his willingness to be the guy to step up for a challenge when others would not. Then the call came from his manager to prove his words true as the opportunity presented itself to face Islam Makhachev in the main event of UFC Fight Night 202 in Las Vegas.
There’s no doubt Green is up for the task in this high-profile assignment just two weeks after a dominant win over Haqparast, but is he making a mistake by stepping in against such a dangerous opponent with a smothering grappling game? Is the allure of his first main event during his UFC career clouding his judgment?
