Video: Would Miesha Tate deserve UFC flyweight title shot if she beats Lauren Murphy?
UFC on ABC 3 this Saturday features a big women’s flyweight bout, with Miesha Tate making her divisional debut against Lauren Murphy on the main card.
Since returning from retirement, Tate, 35, is 1-1 with a finish of Marion Reneau and a decision loss to Ketlen Vieira last November, which prompted her move down to 125 pounds.
Considering Tate is a former UFC women’s bantamweight champion and Murphy is a recent flyweight title challenger, would Tate be worthy of a title shot against Valentina Shevchenko on the heels of just one win? She thinks so. But do we? Our “Spinning Back Clique” panel of Mike Bohn, Nolan King and Danny Segura weigh in with host “Gorgeous” George Garcia.
